Boris N\u00e9meth je slovensk\u00fd portr\u00e9tny, dokument\u00e1rny a report\u00e1\u017eny fotograf p\u00f4sobiaci v Bratislave. Vo svojej tvorbe sa dlhodobo venuje \u010dloveku, identite, pam\u00e4ti a spolo\u010densk\u00fdm zmen\u00e1m. Dokument\u00e1rny pr\u00edstup prirodzene prep\u00e1ja s portr\u00e9tnou fotografiou a sk\u00fama vz\u0165ah medzi fotografom, portr\u00e9tovan\u00fdm a prostred\u00edm, v ktorom \u017eije.<\/span><\/p>

Od roku 2006 pracuje ako fotograf a fotoreport\u00e9r t\u00fd\u017edenn\u00edka .t\u00fd\u017ede\u0148, kde dlhodobo dokumentuje politick\u00e9, spolo\u010densk\u00e9 a kult\u00farne udalosti na Slovensku. Popri redak\u010dnej pr\u00e1ci sa venuje autorsk\u00fdm fotografick\u00fdm projektom, ktor\u00e9 vznikaj\u00fa po\u010das nieko\u013ek\u00fdch rokov a reflektuj\u00fa s\u00fa\u010dasn\u00fa slovensk\u00fa spolo\u010dnos\u0165.<\/span><\/p>

Vy\u0161tudoval fotografiu na Vysokej \u0161kole v\u00fdtvarn\u00fdch umen\u00ed v Bratislave, kde v roku 2011 ukon\u010dil doktorandsk\u00e9 \u0161t\u00fadium. Od roku 2013 na V\u0160VU externe vyu\u010duje report\u00e1\u017enu fotografiu. Od roku 2016 p\u00f4sob\u00ed vo vlastnom ateli\u00e9ri v Novej Cvernovke v Bratislave, kde popri autorskej tvorbe rozv\u00edja aj portr\u00e9tnu fotografiu a vzdel\u00e1vacie aktivity.<\/span><\/p>

Za svoju tvorbu z\u00edskal viacero dom\u00e1cich aj medzin\u00e1rodn\u00fdch ocenen\u00ed. V roku 2011 mu Stredoeur\u00f3psky dom fotografieudelil titul Fotograf roka. Jeho fotografie boli vystaven\u00e9 na Slovensku aj v zahrani\u010d\u00ed, okrem in\u00e9ho v Slovenskom in\u0161tit\u00fate v Prahe, Gal\u00e9rii Medium v Bratislave, na festivale La Gacilly\u2013Baden Photo v Rak\u00fasku, v s\u00eddle Organiz\u00e1cie Spojen\u00fdch n\u00e1rodov v New Yorku a na fotografick\u00fdch festivaloch v Istanbule a Var\u0161ave.<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Boris N\u00e9meth (1979) is a Slovak portrait, documentary, and reportage photographer based in Bratislava. His work explores the relationship between people, identity, memory, and contemporary society through portrait and documentary photography.<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Since 2006, he has worked as a photographer and photojournalist for the Slovak weekly magazine .t\u00fd\u017ede\u0148, where he has documented politics, culture, and everyday life in Slovakia for nearly two decades. Alongside his editorial work, he develops long-term authorial projects and works as a portrait photographer for companies, institutions, and individuals.<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

He studied photography at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, where he completed his postgraduate studies in 2011. Since 2013, he has been an external lecturer in reportage photography at the Academy. Since 2016, he has run his own studio at Nov\u00e1 Cvernovka in Bratislava, where he creates portrait commissions, develops authorial projects, and teaches photography workshops focused on portraiture, communication, and the psychology of working with people in front of the camera.<\/span><\/p>

He is the author of several long-term photographic projects and books, including How Are You, Slovakia?, Slovakia I’m Lovin‘ It, Bratislava \u2013 Ko\u0161ice, Back and Forth, Painted with Light, Flash of Light, and The Dictionary Document.<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

His work has received numerous national and international photography awards. In 2011, he was named Photographer of the Year by the Central European House of Photography. His photographs have been exhibited in Slovakia and internationally, including at the Slovak Institute in Prague, Medium Gallery in Bratislava, the La Gacilly\u2013Baden Photo Festival (Austria), the United Nations Headquarters in New York, and photography festivals in Istanbul and Warsaw.<\/span><\/p>
